Normally, such donations are made anonymously, but for the sake of an exhibition designed to draw attention to this humanitarian gesture, 12 brain donors aged 84 to 100 gave the organizers permission to disclose their identities.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The result of this collaboration between doctor Bronwyn Parry and artist\u00a0Ania Dabrowska is <em>Mind Over Matter<\/em>, a photographic tribute to these donors, five of whom have since died. The labyrinth-like exhibition site evokes the <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebrain.mcgill.ca\/flash\/d\/d_07\/d_07_p\/d_07_p_oub\/d_07_p_oub.html\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">experience of memory loss<\/span><\/a><\/span> that often accompanies old age.
